A project that will always start over at the beginning of each month, like a retainer, can be given a “recurring” status to save you a lot of time at the end of each month.
If a project is set to recurring, it will automatically close at the end of the month and a new project will open for the new month with the project’s name and the month.
Admin note: Once a recurring project closes on the final day of the month it can no longer accept any time entries. Make sure that if a project is set to recurring that your team members know they have to enter all their time for the project before the first day of the new month. If they wait, they’ll be entering time to the new project (for the new month) instead of the project for the month before.
